Hamilton West-Watson High School Reviews

As an English-speaking, native-born American, who is the proud parent of an immigrant child who needed ESL assistance throughout middle school, Hamilton West made every effort to have my daughter tracked through A-level classes and to encourage her to enjoy her high school athletics (swim team, field hockey), dances, and Italian Honor Society. The principal is supportive and available, there is police presence (I never felt her safety was compromised), the guidance dept was involved in her academia and future choices beyond high school. The archicture classes she took there were college-quality and the teacher was personable and an excellent motivator. She's since graduated and I'm extremely pleased with her experience at West. You get out of a school, what you put in: be involved in your child's experience and be an educated advocate for your child. Enjoy your time at West!

This school is great. The students are great and the teachers and administration are great. The people that come here everyday are like one big family.

My son goes to West. I went to West and my daughter will go next year. My sons English teacher was especially dedicated to helping him this year. I can't say enough about her. It's a great school. I hate when people say its 'unsafe'. We live in the suburbs not the inner city.

This school does not lack in discipline, in fact the administrators take very good care of that. I did all four years at this school and barely ever got away with anything. It's a great school, teachers care about the students very much, as well as coaches, and administrators. Hamilton West is a very good school.

Hamilton west is a great experience for my daughters. I was uneasy at first sending them there, but they excel wonderfully. They love their teachers and are extremely happy with the finally growing music program. They have many fond memories and experiences from West.

Lacks strong discipline. Students do as they please during school day.

Loads of extra curricular activities for students. Class break down to allow students achieving at different abilities get the most out of their school day. Communication with my daughters guidance counselor is awesome. He always makes himself available. Overall I'm very pleased with the school.

Ok school. AP classes available. Caters more to the average student. Athletics are ok. Music and art are available.

My daughter and son go to West and they love it. It's a wonderful facility. They feel safe there, which reassures myself as well as the other parents.
