Gloucester Township Elementary School Reviews

I have four children in Gloucester Twp. Elementary School. Each teacher that my children have had have been absolutely wonderful. I can tell they truly care for my kids and their academic advancement. One of my children had a very difficult time with comprehension. His first grade teacher suggested that I take him to have him tested. He was diagnosed with an audio processing disorder. This in turn helped his teacher to instruct him in a way that he would understand. I also have a child who has autism and has been mainstreamed in this school. He has a shadow in the classroom. His teacher understands him and is there as soon as he gets frustrated (which is rare). Her ability to get him to focus and explain to her how he feels is very impressive. The teachers are always there whenever you need them! I love GTES!

My husband and I moved from Florida. My 5 year old was severely shy and unable to complete the screening process. The principal and administration went out of their way for my son. I could not be happier with my school choice. Security is Excellent. Bus company has clean respectful drivers. Teachers are great with low turnover. Campus is understated. School closing procedure is adequate. Children all seem happy.

I think Gloucester Twp. school is fantastic. My husband and I were undecided about private vs. public school until we researched GTES. Mrs. Dunham the Kindergarten teacher is wonderful and our son loves school. The principal Mr. Gentile knows all of the children by name and the atmosphere of respect in the school is superb. It has a private school feel with public school funding.

I removed my daughter from Gloucester Twp elementary 2 years ago. The best decision I ever made for her. She was diagnosed ADHD but was tested at an 8 year old level while 6 yrs old. The administration was more concerned with her behavior rather than her academic success. I refused to permit her admittance in the program and was advised that after 1 month in 1st grade they could place her in the program without my consent. She now attends a private school and is thriving. Her new school is doing work far more advanced than that of the second grade classes at Gloucester Township. If you are concerned with the best education where the kids are first priority gloucester township is not the right school, look elsewhere.

My daughter is in her last year at Glouster Township Elementary School. It has been the best experience for her. The Principal and the Staff are the Best the Township has to offer! I think the education is unmatched in any other elementary school in the district. It is a very hands on school, where the staff knows all the students. And where parents are asked to volunteer their time for many different activities. The children enjoy seeing their parents during school hours. We will be very sad when June 13th comes. We will greatly miss the 'little school on the hill'. But we will leave it with great memories!

Two of my children attended this school, I attended this school, my 2 brothers, my cousin, my Mother, my Aunt & my kids Grandad all attended this school. Going back over a period of 65 years whenever any of us look back on our years at 'the school on the hill' we do it fondly. Gloucester Twp. School district is a great school district, even better than the 'premier community' school system of Washington Township - which I found to be lacking. Going to the school up on the hill was a great experience for all of us. My children & I, were saddened & will miss Mr. Pollino (their principal & my 5th grade social studies teacher). Mr. Pollino set our standard for all school principals.

Union Valley Elememtary - Love the school, teachers, staff & Principal. Wish our Twp. would approve field trips. Our children miss out on so much by not visiting local spots of interest.
