Blackwood Elementary School Reviews

This school has really shown me that there are excellent schools still around. I had 3 children in it and one that had graduated before we moved. Excellent teachers and excellent office staff.

This is a really good school. We moved last yr from Western PA and the schooling out there was very boring for my daughter. They didnt challenge her. But Blackwood Elem made her have to strive for her grades and for the first year she did really well. She even received 'Student of the Month'

This is a fantastic school! The principal and vice principal are outstanding, and teachers are exceptional. As a working single mother, I've been constantly impressed with the teachers' willingness to work around my schedule. They really go above and beyond, and I have watched my son grow from a quiet, introverted boy to an outgoing, sociable straight-A student. It doesn't get much better.

I went to this school many years ago. now my daughter goes there, after first starting in florida schools. I must say there is really no comparison. glouster township schools have always been very good and that is the main reason we moved back to NJ. The teachers at blackwood really get involved to make sure every child has equal attention and all students are learning to the best of their ability.

I have one daughter who went to Blackwood Elem. for 5th grade and one who is in 1st grade now. They both love this school. Because we moved here in the middle of the school year, I didn't have much contact with the 5th grade teacher, but the three teachers my younger daughter has had have been awesome. My daughter's kindergarten, T-1 and first grade teachers have done such a great job. All three teachers are very involved with their students AND their parents. In my opinion, the only negative (for lack of a better word) at Blackwood Elem is the need for extracurricular activities. I'm not sure if this is simply because my daughter is still in the younger grades or if the school does not offer them. I guess we will know in the coming years.
