Lombardy Elementary School Reviews

This is the best elementary school in the Brandywine School District!! School is great and teachers really care about their students.

Great school. Superb staff. I'm very impressed with the teachers and my children love the school. The principal is great. School pride and spirit is high among students, parents and staff.

My experiance at this school was not very impresive. i do not think this school challenges students academicly. The safety at this school is not great. Bullys wear a big problem and were never punished for their actions. Overall this school would not be the first choce to send your kids to. Look at other schools before choseing this school.

I have had children at Lombardy for the past 4 years. Overall, it is a wonderful school with wonderful teachers. The student body is a diverse group of great kids. Class sizes are 18-20. Overall the kids are very well-behaved. However, when discipline problems do arise, the current administration is reluctant to enforce real consequences -- both perpetrator and victim lose recess to talk about it. Problems such as bullying and ganging up to pick on a kid don't seem to start until end of 2nd grade. Hopefully, your child is not a victim, and then everything is fine! Lombardy was fully renovated over the past year, and while I have not seen it yet, I am sure the facility is very nice. This school is a wonderful community for children in the early elementary years and has an active group of parents. One of the best-kept secrets in Wilmington!
