The new musical group Mezclado resists labels.  Blending pop-rock, R & B, folk, and funk, with tasty touches of syncopated Caribbean beats, there is certainly something for everyone at their table.  They have been exciting audiences at Philadelphia venues such as The Tin Angel, L'Etage, and The Rotunda.  The act also performed in New York's Greenwich Village at The Duplex.

    Assembled and led by multitalented Victor Rodriguez, the octet (Mezclado means, apltly, "mixed" in Spanish) delivers a driving rhythmic energy and crisp harmonies on original songs composed by Rodriguez.  His powerful vocals are enhanced by the hot and spicy backup trio of Joanne Joella, Demetria J. Bailey, and Heather Henderson. The muses (as Victor calls them) come center stage for the retro dance number "Flyin" and the anthem-like " To The Highest Power". The infectious "Wherever You Go". led by Victor, is a mix of street-corner bop, reggae, and church spiritual.  Backed by Carla Mariani on keyboards, Rob Smith on drums, Rich Curtis on bass, and Joe Napoli on electric guitar, all the vocalists project a warmth that complements their musicality.  This group has fun performing, and the message comes across.

   Since its inception, Mezclado has been giving their fans a delectable sampling of high spirits and dynamic entertainment.  Victor Rodriguez finally stirred in all the essential ingredients to the pot and has put together a delicious CD for our discerning tastes.
