Description:
The Primate Embryo Gene Expression Resource (supported by the National Center for Research Resources/NIH) presents a new molecular biology laboratory training course at the Temple University School of Medicine. The goal of the two-week course (from Aug. 3-15) is to provide hands-on training in state-of-the-art molecular techniques. Techniques will include: mRNA isolation and amplification, gene expression array hybridization and analysis, array data interpretation, informatics tools, integrated pathway analysis, quantitative RT-PCR, real time PCR and real time RT-PCR, 2D PAGE and proteomics analyses, and confocal microscopy and quantitative image analysis, and stem cell molecular analysis. Course participants will learn and apply these techniques, and may be able to bring their own materials for analysis to advance their individual research projects.
