I went with my wife just to have Baklava and tea after a meal in other restaurant. We decided going here because the restaurant was in our list of future restaurants to visit. First, restaurant smelled to old rug. The total for the dessert and two cups of tea was $6.10. Because they have on the door the Master Card logo, I tried paying with it and they told minimum charge was $10 (which is not written anywhere). Because I didn?t have any cash and my bank ATM was far away, they told me they will charge $10 as the remaining will be tip. I felt mug!!!!! Because they stole almost $4 from me, they have lost a future customer.

Pros: Baklava is decent

Cons: Thieves!!!! Stinky!!!!

A bit tired with mediocre food

This restaurant has seen better days. The cooking is not very good -- there are certainly better Afghan places out there. Sad, because I actually like the place.

Pros: Decent prices

Cons: Long past its prime

"Wow!" I've been to Ariana nearly ten times and that's the word that comes to mind every time I dine there. The food is exquisite (try the appetizer sampler, pumpkin/ yoghurt/ ground beef side dish) and the staff is very friendly and attentive. Request seating in the front if you want to sit on a Persian rug like a Sultan in a palace. Perfect BYO with friends or for a discussion about the film you just saw at the Ritz over Turkish coffee and baklavah. I can't recommend this restaurant strongly enough!

Pros: Food, Service, Value

Cons: None

From the ashak dumplings to the Afghan pudding for dessert, Ariana gets it right. I'm amazed at how the chicken kebab is so juicy every time. Don't be afraid of Afghan food - - here it's well seasoned, but not spicy. Vegetarian dishes abound. Fresh flowers on the tables set the relaxed, calm atmoshphere, even on the busiest night. The service is always pleasant and you can BYOB. We have recommended Ariana to friends, all have thanked us.

Pros: Delicious food, relaxed atmosphere, great value

Cons: Parking can be a challenge (but there is always the city garage if no meters are free
