Excellent Place Overall!

My boyfriend & I went here on a date night & there were too many choices of what to eat, so we just got 5 differnet appetizers to share. They were so good, all of them! We had 2 bottles of wine & they didn't complain or anything about our lengthy stay even though they were near closing time. The whole bill came to $36! For 5 appetizers! We were stuffed. Great place!

Pros: Cute & Romantic

Cons: Got a bit loud from other patrons

Figs In Fairmount RUDE SERVICE. Not worth the trip.

Would give this place NO STARS if it was possible. 3 of us sat down at an outside table. The inside was empty as were the 5 outdoor tables. We sat, ignored, for 20 mins as we watched new people sit and recieve menus, water and service. When I asked if we could have menus as well, I was snarled at. " Have you spoken to anyone?" "No, I answered. Should I have?" I have been to this place and sent many people here. Thought the staff knew us and appreciated our repeat business. NOT SO. The tall angry dude came out and said, " we thought you were loitering?" EXCUSE ME? WE APOLOGIZED for any miscommunications, were treated like garbage, and will NEVER RETURN. After having friends drive in from the main line to meet us, it was an embarrasing and disgusting dining experience. Nice huge rodent the size of a cat running into the garbage bins that they keep next to the tables made our meal complete.

Pros:

Cons: rude service

RUDE

l They are an angry staff who seems to be very put out having to serve anyone. I could not BELIEVE the level of arrogance displayed towards customers. The menu never changes, is very heavy for the summer, and they are always out of things. I was totaly disgusted having taken a co worker and a good friend there. Almost as obnoxious was the obvious bitching they were doing about everyone that was paying for the food the were so reluctantly serving.

Pros:

Cons: BAD service

Amazing Food for a Solid Price!

Figs is definitely a gem of a restaurant in our city! The place is very small, but the food is phenomenal! To date, I have tried plenty of items on their menu, incuding filet mignon, tuna, crabcake (seasonal)...they were all so delicious!! The price is VERY reasonable for the quality of food that you are receiving. Two things to know: it is a BYOB and they only accept cash. So if you are going there for a special event or just to have a relaxing evening, be prepared with those two things!

Pros: Food is delicious and so reasonably priced!

Cons: Cash only. No "buts" about it.

Great food and atmosphere...a little salty

I've been to this place twice now. A bunch of us ordered different entrees and tried each others' dishes. The service is great and all the menu items are tasty. I must say though, that the cous-cous mixture for the lamb was salty...I couldn't finish it. The lamb was delicious though. The duck is excellent...but the spinach that comes with it is salty. If they cut down on the salt for those things, I would be able to taste the food. Otherwise, the food is really great. The duck dish is my favorite so far.

Pros: Duck, Salmon, Lamb

Cons: Salty on some of the sides of the entrees
