Le Bec Fin: Fine French Dining in Philly

Mar 7, 2010

Philadelphia's Le Bec Fin Restaurant is the epitome of dining decadence. This lush eatery cuts no corners when it comes to haute cuisine, serving it in a pristine atmosphere that is simply unparalleled. If you're trying to create a romantic evening for a loved one, impress business associates or win over the in-laws, Le Bec Fin is a surefire win.

White tablecloths, fine china, crystalware, and a friendly, professional wait staff will make your Le Bec Fin experience unlike anything else in the Philadelphia fine dining scene-- it's the way fine dining should be.

Start off your Le Bec Fin meal with a coddled duck egg with fois gras, toasted hazelnut, Argan toast and malted shallot jus. Other starter choices include truffled chestnut soup, Wellfleet oyster with blood orange and horseradish cream and roasted Spanish mackerel with almond salad and parsley jus.

Main courses include items like butter-braised Japanese black bass with Kabocha squash and lime-white-soy sauce; pan-seared fois gras with yellow carrot and sauce Rouennaise; roasted diver scallops with baby Brussels sprouts, fingerling potatoes and Coco emulsion; Wagyu beef with beef cheek ravioli and braised endive; truffle-stuffed lamb loin; and Magret duck breast with purple cauliflower and pickled kumquats.

A prixe fixe menu featuring six courses and optional flight of wine is available for those who really want to let their taste buds experience the talents of executive chef Georges Perrier and chef de cuisine Nicholas Elmi.

Reservations are required at Le Bec Fin, and business dress is required. For reservations, call (215) 567-1000.
