Bindi Restaurant

 Bindi BYOB is Philadelphia's premiere Indian BYOB restaurant-- a lavish establishment that serves authentic Indian cuisine with a contemporary twist. Located in the Market East neighborhood, Bindi is a trendy-yet-tasteful eatery that is a true playground for your taste buds. 

Start off your experience at Bindi by ordering one of their delightfully creative appetizers. The turkey kofta with 100 almond curry and onion kachumber; sindhi eggplant with truffled "polenta", maitake mushrooms, and sweet-spicy sindhi  curry; and karalan beef-lettuce wraps with coconut-chili chutney and toasted peanuts all make excellent app choices. 

For your main entree, consider the chicken tikka-- a combination of spiced yogurt-marinated chicken breast, chana masala, kuchumber and pulao rice; lamb rogan josh-- grilled lamb chops and dal mahkani; pan-seared blue nose bass with sambar lentils, French bean thoran and steamed clams; or braised beef short rib do piaza with fingerling potatoes, migella-jicama carrot pickle, and onion-tomato curry. All are delicious and distinct in flavor and presentation. 

If you come to Bindi, don't leave without having tried the dessert. Bombay Chai creme brulee with bittersweet chocolate ganache, vanilla bean panna cotta with apple-almond chutney and lemon-cardamom syrup, and flourless chocolate cake with goat cheese kulfi are each sweet ways to end your Bindi experience. 

Reservations at Bindi aren't required, but are advised. Dress is business casual. Remember to bring cash, as Bindi does not accept checks or credit cards.
