McFadden's of Philly a Big Time Hit

Dec 12, 2009

McFadden's Restaurant and Saloon is a local sensation in Philadelphia. This traditional Irish pub is relaxing by day and wild by night: juicy hot burgers are the hot item in the daytime, but when the sun goes down, tall glasses of icy-cold beer and mixed drinks take center stage.

The night life at McFadden's is trendy and hot. This Philly hot spot is the perfect place to host a bachelor or bachelorette party-- the bride-to be enjoys free drinks and her guests an open bar for $20-- register online here.

The menu at McFadden's should not be overlooked either-- with a mix of traditional Irish fare and much-loved bar food, there is something on McFadden's diverse menu that is sure to please anyone.

Start off your McFadden's experience with an order of loaded nachos or fresh bruschetta with grilled shrimp. If you're in the mood for something cheesier, try the fried mozzarella cheese sticks with marinara or the quesadilla with melted cheddar-jack cheese, hot peppers and tomatoes with sour cream and salsa.

For your meal, McFadden's serves up a variety fresh sandwiches and fresh-cut French fries. Try the charbroiled Southwest turkey burger with roasted red peppers and Swiss cheese; the Dublin burger with sweet hickory barbecue sauce, onion rings, cheddar cheese and slices of crisp bacon; the pesto chicken sandwich with sauteed spinach, roasted peppers, provolone cheese and a zesty pesto sauce or the Fireman's Cheesesteak sandwich with sliced ribeye, American cheese and plenty of hot sauce.

A variety of fresh salads-- like the Southwest chicken salad with mixed green lettuce, grape tomatoes, corn, tortilla strips and a sprinkle of jack cheese-- are also available.

Don't forget dessert at McFadden's, either. There's only one, but it's definitely all you'll need: the signature McFadden's chocolate chip cookie skillet, which features a giant cookie baked in an iron skillet topped with cool vanilla bean ice cream, hot fudge and butterscotch.

No reservations are required and dress is casual.
