ARTIST'S STATEMENT
As an artist, I can't say that I have any singular influence, since I have learned from everyone I have encountered. I blend the old and new in whatever ways present themselves to me; creativity itself will be my guide. As a rule, I don't exclude anything. Spirituality is an important component of my work. For me, spiritual content can pose a question without offering an answer, since the answer is always personal and maybe different for each of us. I want my work to reflect beauty, whatever the content.
I see myself and my art in a constant state of developing. My truth is in the becoming, not in the knowing. As an artist and as a human being, I never expect to arrive at a point where I know everything I need to know -- not about art, not about life, not about spirit -- I honor the becoming, the journey.
