Joseph Ryan, born and raised in the Philadelphia area, has enjoyed painting as a hobby for many years. Graduating from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1981, he spends his days as an optometrist and his nights painting away in his Glenside home where he lives with his wife. Raising four children, the family spent their summer vacations in Ocean City, NJ which has been the inspiration for many of his paintings. His soothing texture and detailed oil paintings have not surprised many due to his calm nature and observant eye. Joseph has recently decided to offer his amazingly accurate recreations of landscapes for all to view and appreciate the passion he infuses in each piece.
